Read Like a Dad

Q: Why did Luke Skywalker refuse to fight Darth Vader?
A: It was Father’s Day.

It's that time of year again, time to celebrate some of our favorite guys: dads!

Whether your dad is a pro in the kitchen, on the race track, or both, there are as many stories about dads as there are ways to be a dad.

Here are seven of my favorites:

And Tango Makes Three: Male penguins Roy and Silo adopt an abandoned egg together: Who do you think will hatch? Daddies are nurturers, too, in this true story based on the life of two penguins at the Central Park Zoo.

Bilal Cooks Daal: Bilal learns how to make his favorite meal, daal, with the help of his abu.

Darth Vader and Son: What kind of bedtime stories do you think Darth Vader would read?

Jabari Jumps: Jabari is finally ready for the high dive! Or is he? His father lets him decide.

My Papa Is A Princess: In a game of make-believe, Papa can be anything—an astronaut, a race car driver, a master chef—even a princess! But in the eyes of his child, he's already the best thing anyone can be: a papa!

My Papi Has A Motorcycle: When Papi gets home from work, he and Daisy Ramona put on their helmets and zip and zoom through the neighborhood together.

When Otis Courted Mama: Who Otis is: Mama's new boyfriend. Who Otis isn't: Cordell's papa. But maybe there's still room for Otis in Cordell's life?
