Love the Muppets? Try These Movies

"It's time to play the music
It's time to light the lights
It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight..."

This month the beloved TV series The Muppet Show turns 40. To celebrate, you can watch Season One, Two and Three on DVD.

The show appealed to all ages by combining slapstick jokes for kids with sophisticated adult humor. With its adorable cast of puppets, The Muppet Show remains timeless family viewing that has influenced these popular kids movies.

Toy Story, Pixar's first feature-length film, also features endearing characters and clever writing. The friendship between Buzz and Woody will warm the hearts of Kermit and Piggy fans. The series is still going strong, with Toy Story 4 coming out in 2018.

Shrek, the start of another series that entertains both children and grown-ups, won the first Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Like Gonzo, Shrek seems like a weird monster at first, but he soon reveals his soft side.

Shrek gained worldwide popularity, just like The Muppet Show and Toy Story, for its memorable hero. In The Lego Movie, Emmett thinks he's an average Lego figure until he finds out he's the Special. This silly yet sincere comedy will make everyone in your family laugh out loud.
