This Thanksgiving season, I'm taking time to give thanks to my parents for having books in our home when I was a child. Being surrounded by stories helped shaped my life personally and professionally. As a parent and librarian, I know how important books are to children. Books surround my kids in our home, and we make reading an integral part of our daily routine.
