YOUmedia Staff Bio
Having returned to the Midwest (which she will argue is indeed the best), Rae is delighted to be working with teens at the Legler Branch YOUmedia. Rae went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a degree in psychology, which she promptly put to use in dissecting characters' backstories and working in libraries. She then went all the way to the University of Texas at Austin to get her master's in information studies in 2014. Rae tries (and sometimes fails) to go to a concert a week and will gladly swap playlists and podcasts anytime, hoping to one day be known as DJ Librarian. She also enjoys fiction (series and standalone), shows about time travel, intense Perler bead sessions and using the vinyl cutter. Rae considers the day well spent if she learns something new and can connect people to resources that help them do the same.
