Summer always makes me long for a good road trip story, so naturally I'm completely pumped about John Green's new movie adaptation of his novel Paper Towns that comes out July 24.

If you're like me and you're looking for more road trip novels, here are a few books for you to check out.
The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour follows best friends Bev and Colby as they tour around the country with Bev's band. Like Paper Towns, it's about realizing there may be more to your friends than you thought and captures being on the brink of your future in a way that I loved.

In Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson, the two title characters take a trip from California to Connecticut and, as the title suggests, take a pretty epic detour. My favorite parts are the artifacts - photos, brochures, and other things they collect on their way - that are included to break up the text of the book.
Like Quentin, Ginny follows a series of clues in 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson. Her journey takes her across Europe on an elaborate scavenger hunt given to Ginny by her aunt. Like all books by Auntie MJ, I enjoyed Ginny's witty voice most of all, but also loved the descriptions of all the places in Europe I'd like to visit.
