The Artist’s Studio at the Library: Family-Friendly Art Spaces

Want to make art while surrounded by books? Come to The Artist's Studio at the Library where you and your family can engage in open-ended, process-based art activities designed by the Art Institute of Chicago to spark creativity, joy and connection.

Each activity encourages you to explore books, works of art from the museum’s collection and other resources at the library while inspiring new conversations for you and your little ones. Take home what you make or add your creations to the community gallery in your library. Studio projects are designed for kids 3 to 8 with a caregiver or 9 and up on their own.
