Kids and teens in pre-K to 12th grade, submit your name for a chance to win tickets to the Cubs game on September 16. The Illinois Literacy Foundation and the Chicago Cubs have partnered to offer a prize to kids across Illinois who complete their local summer reading program.
We're asking anyone who is interested in winning this awesome prize to submit their name through the form below. First, make sure you've completed your summer reading!
If you need to sign up for our summer program, you can register online through August 2. Kids up to 8th grade can register here. Teens in high school can register here. Complete your reading goals and report on it online or in-person at your local branch! Kids can count all the days of reading starting on the first day of our program, June 6.
Special Summer Reading Contest
Sponsored by Illinois Literacy Foundation and Chicago Cubs. CPL will only nominate patrons who complete this form by submitting the participating child's first name, last initial, age and branch. Your email will only be used by CPL to contact you if the submitted child is a winner. This form will close at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 15.

1. Each winner will have four (4) days to accept the prize before it passes to the next alternate on the list.
2. Winners will receive on-field recognition before the Chicago Cubs game scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 6:40 p.m. at no cost. Winners must be prepared to arrive no later than 2 hours before the start of the game.
3. Winners and their guardian will be responsible for their own food, accommodation, and travel. No monetary compensation will be awarded. Winners and their guardian must comply with applicable Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field rules.
