Created by Mather, Older Is Bolder challenges stereotypes about aging by celebrating older adults who continue to lead, create, advocate and inspire in their communities. Through portraits and personal stories, this exhibit highlights individuals who demonstrate that growing older is not a limitation, but an opportunity for continued creativity and connection.
The exhibit features "BoldMakers," older adults from across the Chicago area whose work, passions and community leadership continue to shape our city in many ways. Together, their stories encourage conversations about ageism, lifelong learning and the value of every stage of life.
Older Is Bolder opens at Harold Washington Library Center on August 1 and will be on view through October 12 in the Ida B. Wells Corridor.
