Biographical

  • Born September 3, 1934 in Greensboro, Ala.
  • Graduated from Alabama State University in 1956 with a degree in chemistry
  • After moving to Chicago in 1957, started working for city Sewer Department
  • Elected 6th Ward alderman in 1971
  • After leaving office, he operated a company focusing first on energy, later on wholesale tobacco.
  • Survived by wife Veronica and three children.
  • Died January 19, 2008 in Chicago
  • Buried in Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago
