Biographical

  • Born August 19, 1805 in Orange County, N.Y.
  • Builder and contractor; owned a lumberyard and was proprietor of a dry goods and grocery store
  • Served as chief engineer of the Fire Department
  • Served several years as alderman
  • Survived by four children
  • Died May 7, 1872 in West Lyons, Ill.
  • Buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago
