Top Picks: Jackie Chan

If you love martial arts movies as much as I do, you’ve probably seen many a film with the talented and wildly popular martial artist Jackie Chan. Known for his phenomenal stunt work and acrobatic style, Chan also brings an attention to detail and slapstick humor to his films. Here are my top picks for the great one’s movies.

Chan’s films have gained a cult following over the years, with none more famous than Police Story. Just in time for his birthday—he’ll turn 65 years young April 7—Criterion has released a Police Story/Police Story 2 boxed set. This is must-see Chan at his best.

The entertaining and funny Rush Hour spawned a sequel and includes the comic genius of Chris Tucker.

If you've never seen the drunken form of martial arts, you're in for a treat with Drunken Master. This is where it started for me, watching Chan's hilarious and entertaining form of martial arts and stunt work.
