Sunday Hours Begin This Weekend at More CPL Locations

We’re rolling out Sunday hours at more CPL locations beginning August 1st. Throughout 2021, we'll continue to roll out Sunday hours in all 81 locations.

Starting this week, these branches will be open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday:

Harold Washington Library Center, Sulzer Regional, Woodson Regional, and Legler Regional are also already open on Sundays.

Expanding Sunday hours is part of an ongoing effort by CPL and the Mayor’s Office to ensure library services are more equitable and accessible for all Chicagoans.

“For Chicago to thrive, we need all of our residents—especially our young people—connected to rich, engaging and safe environments where they can be empowered to explore their passions and develop their talent,” said Mayor Lori Lightfoot. “Our libraries are critical to helping us achieve that vision.”
