Mather’s Grow-It-Together Program Returns in 2026

Mather is offering their gardening program again this year

As part of their Ways to Age Well mission, Mather is partnering with Chicago Public Library to continue their hydroponic gardening kit program. Illinois residents who are 55 and older can receive free Grow-It-Together kits which include personal hydroponic gardens, gardening supplies, five seed packets (arugula, dandelion, mint, basil, and cilantro), and a welcome letter with instructions. You can choose to pick up your kit at a library or have it shipped to your home.

Register with Mather here to pick up a kit at one of these participating library branches:

Mather will be hosting monthly virtual club meetings throughout the year where you can learn more about gardening. You can participate in the virtual programs from home, or you may visit one of the libraries that are hosting in-person viewings of the garden club meetings. For more information, please email kits@mather.com or call 888-600-2560.
