Get Ready for Medicare Open Enrollment with Free Library Info Sessions

Medicare is changing in 2026, and now is the time to understand your options. The Medicare Open Enrollment period runs October 15–December 7, 2025, and with a new federal administration preparing updates to Medicare programs, staying informed is more important than ever.
 
Chicago Public Library is partnering with Medicare Teachers, opens a new window to offer free, in-person and virtual sessions this fall. These programs are designed for:
  • Adults approaching age 65 who want to learn the ABCD’s of Medicare
  • Anyone reviewing or changing their current Medicare plan
  • Caregivers and family members helping older adults navigate coverage
After attending, you’ll be able to:
  • Understand the differences between Medicare Parts A, B, C and D
  • Compare Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Supplements
  • Grasp the basics of Part D prescription drug coverage
