Apply to be part of the Chicago Public Library YOUmedia Digital Content internship. As the Teen Digital Content intern you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated librarians and dynamic marketing team. Your mission? Elevate our online presence and forge meaningful connections with our audience.

You'll be at the forefront of crafting compelling content that shines a spotlight on CPL YOUmedia's vibrant programs, rich resources, and exciting opportunities. Through creativity, teamwork and communication with your peers, you'll ensure to capture the authentic voice of teens and help us stay on top of the latest trends.

Requirements:

  • Open to High School Students, ages 14 to 18 yrs. old who reside in Chicago.

Meeting Times:

  • This internship will begin Thursday, January 9th and run until December 18th, 2025.
  • There will be a summer break in between the internship from mid June to end of August.
  • This internship will meet at Harold Washington Library Center and includes in-person meetings every Thursday after school, asynchronous work and some optional off-site Saturday meetings totaling about 6-10 hours per week.

Payment:

  • The pay rate will be $16.20/hour paid by check in a monthly stipend.
  • If you are 16+ you will need to submit a completed W9 in order for payment to be processed.
  • If you are 15 and under, you will need a work permit. We will provide a Letter of Intent that you can submit to your school to begin the work permit process.
  • You can receive a total of up to $4,179.00 for the program.
