Art of Pocket Con Exhibit at Whitney M. Young, Jr. Branch

Whitney M. Young, Jr. Branch hosts an African American History Month art exhibit in February featuring the Art of Pocket Con.

The Art of Pocket Con exhibit showcases one-of-a-kind graphic artwork created by African American artists featured at Pocket Con.

Pocket Con, Chicago's only comics convention for youth featuring the works of artists and writers of color, women and LGBTQ creators, is held annually by Chicago Public Library and LoKari Productions. Pocket Con provides a space for creators and young fans to meet, and for teens, kids and adults to read comics, attend workshops and panels, create or play video games, and try out costuming and art in a space that celebrates and welcomes diversity, with a special focus on characters and creators of color.
