Artist Statement

"painting and photography, unconditional affection

"Photography is a process that starts in my head long before I take my camera in hand.

"There is a thought or a vision which persistently comes back and speaks to me. I am bound to look at each frame through the eyes of a painter I have been for many years.

"What inspires me is the world—the year, the seasons, living beings—everything I can perceive. From these, I create series that tell stories. The stories are often magical, inexplicit and symbolic."
