About the Artist
Tita Recometa-Brady holds a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Sto. Tomas, Philippines and a master of fine arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago through a Fulbright-Hays Grant. She taught at the University of the East and Ateneo de Manila before pursuing her studies here. She has had several solo exhibits and participated in group shows in different cities.
She uses her abstract style on her favorite subjects: “sun, land, city” and Word Series.
Thank you for this opportunity of exhibiting my WORD SERIES. It is a culmination of work inspired by: the desire to promulgate “some words-of-wisdom” and creating designs based on these words. These words have had a direct influence on my learning as well as on my teaching.
