A Money Smart Internship Program for Teens

The On the Money program series is having an Interview Open House from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on August 27 at Chicago Public Library Harold Washington Library Center on the lower level.

In this journalism internship program, teens research, write and publish articles about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and business while developing workforce skills and a portfolio, presented in partnership by Economic Awareness Council and Chicago Public Library.

Some perks of participating include:

  • increasing your scholarship application possibilities
  • mentorship from business, journalism and library professionals
  • developing finance, business and entrepreneurship expertise

Space is limited. For full internship consideration, please send an email to otm@econcouncil.org to express your interest in this opportunity. Attach a writing sample and resume if possible, and come to our Interview Open House when you'll be asked to share information about your writing, volunteer or work experience and interest in this internship.
