Teen Picks: Ghostly Connections

Black cats and goblins, broomsticks and ghosts. Stay warm in bed if you feel a sense of dread and curl up with a book about the undead!

What happens to the spirits of the dead? In the classic manga Bleach, Ichigo Kurosaki works as a Soul Reaper to defend humans from evil spirits and guides good spirits to the afterlife.

We're all afraid of the unknown, and fifteen-year-old Clary Fray is no exception. In the chilling novel City of Bones, Clary can not only see Shadowhunters (ghosts), but she must also travel to a frightening world after the disappearance of her mother.

They say dead men tell no tales, but teen loner Murray Kiefer knows better. In the supernatural novel Dead Connection, Murray hears the voice of a murdered cheerleader and tries to convince the adults of what truly happened to her.

Move over Pennywise, there's a new supernatural force in town. Graham McNamee's fantasy novel Bonechiller lives up to its hype when four Canadian teens face off against a ghostly creature who abducts and murders young people.
