In Exit West, traveling vast physical distances is as easy as walking through a door, but overcoming cultural distance is often much harder. As part of the 2020 One Book, One Chicago season, exploring the theme Beyond Borders, partner DePaul University presented a panel discussion exploring what it means to connect across cultures. Professors Abdul-Malik Ryan, Chi-Jang Yin, Mark Turcotte and Shailja Sharma brought their perspectives, experiences, and expertise to the discussion.
