Sesame Street premiered on November 10, 1969, which means that this week Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Oscar the Grouch and all of their neighbors on Sesame Street are celebrating their 45th birthday! Jim Henson's muppets have delighted and educated generations of children.

Celebrate Sesame Street's anniversary with the young people in your life or take a stroll down memory lane yourself and learn some behind-the-scenes stories of Sesame Street.
Like the show itself, The Monster at the End of This Book is a classic! Grover is begging you not to turn the page because....there's a monster at the end of this book!
Check out one of our many Sesame Street DVDs to spend time with your favorite monsters. One of my favorites has Elmo helping Mother Goose with her rhymer's block in Sesame Street: Fairy Tale Fun.
Elmo asks "Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?" in a fun story for beginning readers that shows Elmo following his kite from the park to a jungle, a swamp and even Mars as he tries to find his way home.
