Western Avenue: 24 Miles and 150 Years of Neighborhood Architecture Exhibit by Brick of Chicago

The exhibit Western Avenue: 24 Miles and 150 Years of Neighborhood Architecture by Brick of Chicago is on display at the Northtown Branch from August 2 to November 8.

From Morgan Park to Rogers Park, this exhibit delves into the interesting history of fifteen diverse and beautiful buildings along Western Avenue, Chicago’s longest street. Churches, schools, tied houses and banks are just some of the establishments that tell their story through their buildings’ architectural elements and design.

Join us for a virtual program on Tuesday, August 17 at 6:30 with Brick of Chicago. Registration is required.

Curator Will Quam is an architecture photographer, writer and researcher who runs the website and Instagram Brick of Chicago. For more information, visit brickofchicago.com or ask your local librarian.
