Chicago Public Library is celebrating children's reading and brain-building activities through our annual summer program, Chapters of Chicago. Research shows that when children don’t have enough to eat, their ability to focus, learn and even enjoy reading is negatively impacted. Fortunately, our partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) can help.
The following locations will offer healthy summer meals to help ensure kids have access to nourishment so they can do their best learning and growing with CPL this summer. Learn about their schedules here.
- Altgeld Branch
- Budlong Woods Branch
- Douglass Branch
- Lozano Branch
- North Austin Branch
- South Shore Branch
- Toman Branch
- Woodson Regional Library
Summer Meals provided by Greater Chicago Food Depository are intended only for children and teens up to 18. Lunch is served on a first-come, first-served basis and must be eaten onsite, while supplies last.
