Menopause Awareness Programs and Resources

October 18th was Menopause Awareness Day

October was Menopause Awareness Month, but we have more programs scheduled in November and December. Resources are always available. 

Come hear a menopause specialist, Dr Mary Farhi, MD discuss facts and expel myths about perimenopause and menopause on Tuesday, November 18th at 6pm. She will explain the hormonal changes and symptoms happening in our bodies during this transition. She will discuss common symptoms and concerns and treatment options to manage these symptoms (both nonhormonal and hormonal). She will discuss how to create optimal health and wellness in order to live a vibrant life in the postmenopausal years. This is a virtual program presented in English with Spanish translation. On Tuesday, December 9th at 6pm, Professor Pauline Maki from the University of Illinois Chicago will draw on her 30-year career in the field of menopause to provide general information about perimenopause and what medical research and societies recommend for optimizing health and wellbeing at this time in your life.
