Join us for a virtual discussion with the Chicago Women's Health Center on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. During this workshop led by Scout Bratt from the Chicago Women's Health Center, we'll focus on the impact of menopause on bodies, minds, and relationships. We'll be reviewing research throughout history and challenging misinformation. In addition to considering treatment options, we'll consider practices for both self-care and community care. This workshop will be rooted in a feminist approach to menopause. Please send questions by October 16 to adultservices@chipublib.org. Similar questions will be combined, and we cannot guarantee that every question will be answered.
Dr. Mary Farhi from Rush will speak about menopause on Tuesday, November 18th at 6pm. There will be a short Q&A session following her presentation.
On Tuesday, December 9th at 6pm, Professor Pauline Maki from the University of Illinois Chicago will draw on her 30-year career in the field of menopause to provide general information about perimenopause and what medical research and societies recommend for optimizing health and wellbeing at this time in your life. Please register to receive the zoom link.
