New Staff at Back of the Yards

There’s a new face at Back of the Yards Branch. Meet Jaime! Jaime started at CPL as a Cybernavigator for Brighton Park Branch and then transferred to the Lozano Branch to work as a YOUmedia specialist. He is very excited to start his library career at the Back of the Yards Branch as a teen library associate.

Jaime was born in Puebla, Mexico but grew up in the south side of Chicago.  He received an associate’s degree at Harold Washington College with a concentration in social work/youth work. Afterwards, he attended DePaul University and received a bachelor of arts in industrial organizational psychology.  His favorite college courses were in training, learning development and organizational behavior. He plans on going back to school for a masters in library science and is very exited to begin this new journey.

Major interests are in stop motion animation, fashion and design, hands on activities and maker gear 3D printers and vinyl cutters. During his spare time Jaime enjoys reading, attending concerts, developing black & white photos and running (he is training for a marathon next year). Stop in to say hi and wish him luck. Welcome, Jaime!
