CPL Cares
CPL Cares is a collective of social service agencies available weekly at Harold Washington Library Center. The dedicated CPL Cares desk is located on the 3rd floor and has a weekly schedule of services, including the ones below. Please call the Information Center at 312-747-4300 for schedule information.
- Chicago Loop Alliance/Streetplus provides housing and employment services.
- Legal Aide Chicago provides legal assistance as well as medical and financial help from the Dept. of Human Services.
- Legal Council for Health Justice provides legal services for people with disabilities.
- Night Ministry provides referrals to housing, health care and human connection for those who struggle with homelessness and poverty.
- Thresholds provides referrals to housing and mental health services.
Chicago Department of Public Health
CDPH provides mental health care clinicians. These clinicians provide immediate interventions to people presenting with mental health concerns, referrals and case management to those who have received mental health support.
