  • The Strandbeests have taken over the Chicago Cultural Center. You can walk a 7’ tall kinetic sculpture made of PVC pipes, connectors and plastic ties until May 1.
  • The Northside Mini Maker Faire is Saturday, May 7 at Schurz High School—discover the meaning behind "space tomatoes."
  • Unfolded has arrived at the Chicago Design Museum, now through July 30.
  • LakeFX Summit + Expo, a convening for artists and entrepreneurs, is Friday, May 13 through Sunday, May 15 at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Maker Lab News and Events

It's the second quarter for the Maker Labs Rewards card. This quarter started April 1 and runs through June 30, and you can use your points through September 30.

Celebrate months of hard work at the Really Tiny House Block Party on Thursday, April 28. You designed houses, tables, chairs, wallpaper, rugs and even a faery garden. Let’s put it all together and bask in our handiwork. We’ll be documenting them with our made-in-house spin. No registration required.
