The story of Latiné Chicago is long and varied. Some of these diverse voices and experiences are represented in materials in CPL’s Archives and Special Collections Division. This fall, we begin to explore these collections and histories through a series of programs at branches around the city. Participants will learn how archives can document and preserve history about local Latiné heroes, events and culture through crafts, writing prompts, games and food.
We welcome you to celebrate culture, community and the history of Latiné people in Chicago through Latiné Archival Programs at a branch near you.

- November 21 at 11:00 a.m. – Archives and Cocinas: Cooking Demonstration with Chef Urban Pilón – West Lawn Branch
- December 3 at 2:00 p.m. – ¡Lotería! In the Archives – Harold Washington Library Center, Special Collections Reading Room
- December 8 at 1:00 p.m. – Crafting the Archives: Talavera Art Cantaritos – Vodak-East Side Branch
