The Library is seeking organizations to participate in our Chicago Works and Chicago Volunteers Fair at Chicago Public Library on Wednesday, July 15 in the Winter Garden and South Hall at the Harold Washington Library Center.
Every summer, the Chicago Public Library celebrates learning around a central theme. This year’s theme “Chapters of Chicago” celebrates everything that makes our city so special: our architecture, art, food, music, nature, theater, sports, and, of course, our stories! The Chicago Works/ Chicago Volunteers Fair is a chance to bring that theme to life by encouraging adults to turn to a new chapter by finding a new job or civically engaging with their local community.
The fair will feature two components:
- Job Preparedness & Information Fair with local employers, workforce organizations, and community partners to table at the event to share job opportunities, training programs and career development resources with attendees.
- Volunteer Fair for local organizations in active need of volunteers to support their organization's mission
Please complete this interest form to tell us more about your organization and how you want to be involved. Please note that the job fair and volunteer fair will be held in different rooms; if you would like to have representation at both you will need to fill out TWO forms and have a different point person for each table.
We will respond in early June with more information and to confirm your participation.
Date: Wednesday, July 15
Time: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Location: Winter Garden & South Hall, 9th Floor, Chicago Public Library - HWLC 400 South State Street
