In early December, staff from Harold Washington Library Center's Literature and Language Department teamed up with the Maker Lab to host our first bilingual maker event: Create Your Own Flag Bunting.
Presented in HWLC's newly revamped English-language learners space, the event was conducted mostly in English, but bilingual instructors were on hand and ready to assist Spanish-speaking patrons if needed. With patience and good humor, everyone communicated successfully and went home with colorful felt bunting decorations.
