Choose Kind Activities at the Thomas Hughes Children’s Library

The Thomas Hughes Children’s Library is celebrating Choose Kind Chicago month with a scavenger hunt.  Kids are encouraged to visit the department and look for “precepts,” or words to live by, that are posted around the department.  The precepts were taken from the “Precepts to remind you to always choose kind 365 Days a Year” calendar.  When kids find eight or more, they can turn in the scavenger hunt and receive a small prize, while supplies last.

In addition to the scavenger hunt, the Thomas Hughes Children’s Library will also have Choose Kind postcards.  Kids can select one of four designs, write about a way that they chose to be kind and “mail” the postcard “Kindness” mailbox.  When they visit again, they may find their postcard posted in the department.

The scavenger hunt and postcards are available through the end of October.
