Chicago Freedom Movement Photo Exhibit at Woodson Regional Library

Bernie J. Kleina's revealing photos of Dr. Martin Luther King  Jr.'s visit to Chicago in support of open housing circa 1965-66 are on display in the Woodson Regional Library lobby in June.  The photographs, which capture the horror and hatred of the attempts to disrupt the peaceful marches,  provide a snapshot of the struggle for fair and open housing in Chicago.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Chicago Commission on Human Relations.
