Poetry is a wide world of styles, traditions, and cultures. The Chicago Public Library is seeking proposals for 2026 programs. You are especially encouraged to submit ideas that celebrate the languages and cultures spoken in branches and the poetry traditions that matter to their patrons.
We're primarily seeking programs for Poetry Month in April 2026, but please submit if you want to connect with a holiday or celebration later in the year. Please submit your proposal here. The priority deadline is Friday, January 31st.
There will be a separate process for Poetry Fest this year.
