Bezazian Branch Kicks Off Uptown History Initiative

Last Saturday we had a record turnout for the program Forgotten History of Uptown presented by the Forgotten Chicago guys, Jacob Kaplan and Patrick Steffes.

This was merely the first program in Bezazian Branch's effort to share and spread knowledge of neighborhood history. We are planning for a spring 2015 oral history collection, a document scanning day and another session with the Forgotten Chicago duo.

So now, during what may just be a very long and cold hibernation-friendly winter, start digging through old photo albums and files for items you may want digitized and to jog your memory for stories of Uptown you may want to publicly recount. Like Faulkner said, "The past is never dead, it's not even past."
