Be Subversive: Read a Banned or Challenged Book at Austin-Irving Branch

Save the date and start reading now to get ready for an exciting event coming to the Austin-Irving Branch this fall.

Our friends at City Lit Theater Company will read from the top 10 banned or challenged books of 2013 at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 24 at the Austin-Irving Branch.

Check out the list of titles compiled by the American Library Association's Office of Intellectual Freedom. These books were challenged a total of 307 times in 2013.  See what the furor is all about by reading one of these books. We promise they won't come wrapped in a brown paper cover!
