Art Exhibit by Jojo Tan at Logan Square Branch

Logan Square Branch hosts an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month art exhibit through the month of May featuring artist Jojo Sabalvaro Tan.

Having dabbled in art when studying at the University of the Philippines, Jojo Sabalvaro Tan pursued her art in earnest upon her retirement from the corporate world. She finds inspiration from works of old masters, her travels and her Filipino roots. Jojo has a keen interest in the conservation and preservation of indigenous culture and art and has created works inspired by the native people of the Philippines. Sales of her artworks have benefited many charities, among them the families of victims of the 911 tragedy and Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
