Budlong Woods Branch hosts a Polish American Heritage Month art exhibit in October featuring artist Joanna Kacprzynska.
Kacprzynska is an artist of mixed media who works intuitively. Inspired by the magnificent beauty of guardian angels she saw while growing up in Poland, and the magical imagination of children, her mixed media art work depicts angels as the focal subject created for children as her main audience. She makes art with the collaboration of her own children, where the whole process of creation combines their unlimited imagination and Kacprzynska’s free intuitive approach to art. Beauty, pleasure and joy of creating come from letting the imagination take over the entire process of creation. Her secret wish is that everyone will find an area in life where one feels truly free in their creation only because it feels right.
