Are you a maker ready to share your skills at the library? The maker-in-residence program at CPL brings makers into the library to share their technique with patrons and create a work displayed in our State Street window. The application closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Each 12-week residency is based at Harold Washington Library Center with an honorarium of $6,500. The spring residency runs from March through June. The summer residency runs from June through September.

- Legler Regional, 115 S. Pulaski Rd.
- Sulzer Regional, 4455 N. Lincoln Ave.
