The Maker Lab, located inside Legler Regional Library on the 2nd floor, offers our adult patrons an introduction to maker crafting, both high-tech and hands-on. As a free and publicly accessible maker space on the Westside of Chicago, we welcome personal projects, collaborations, and interest driven exploration.
Using the Legler Maker Lab
Open Shop at the Maker Lab is for ages 14 and up. 14 to 18-year-olds must be working on an active project not available in YOUmedia. Due to the size of the Maker Lab, only six (6) patrons will be allowed in the space during Open Shop at one time on a first-come, first-served basis.
Open Shop
Wednesdays from 2 pm to 5 pm and one Saturday per month. Please check the Event page for our hours.
If an unexpected staffing shortage happens, Open Hours may be cut short or cancelled. If concerned, please call 312-746-7730 on the day you wish to attend to verify hours.
