How do I book a study room at the Harold Washington Library Center?

Study Rooms for Groups

Book a group study room at HWLC.

Group study rooms for two or more people are available on the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th floors. The room on the 4th floor holds up to 5 people; rooms on the 5th, 6th and 7th floors hold up to 9 people.

Group study rooms may be booked up to four weeks in advance. Due to demand, users are limited to two hours per day and six hours per week.

Study Rooms for Individuals

Book an individual study room at HWLC.

Individual study rooms are available on the 6th and 8th floors.

Individual study rooms may be booked up to four weeks in advance. Due to demand, study room use is limited to two hours per day and six hours per week.

Other Study Areas

The Harold Washington Library Center's Winter Garden is a popular spot for group and individual study. In addition, study rooms for both groups and individuals are available at some neighborhood locations.
