Biographical/Historical
In 2014, Chicago Public Library partnered with the Chicago Film Archive of Performance (C-FAP) and agreed to serve as the official repository for recordings made by the organization. C-FAP records live theater performances in Chicago.
Scope and Contents
The C-FAP Collection includes recordings of live theater performances, and their associated programs and playbills, in Chicago. Per C-FAP, “productions are chosen for their cultural, historical, aesthetic and educational value. Premieres, unique events, community interest and contributions of particular value by performers, directors and/or designers are given special consideration in selecting productions to archive.”
