You’re Never Too Young to Express Yourself

There are so many ways to express yourself. You can draw pictures, make art, dance, sing or perform a show for someone you love--or just for yourself! If you have things you love to do to share your personality, go ahead and keep doing them. But if you need some ideas to spark your self-expression, try one of the activities below.

Activities

  • Draw your own self-portrait. Use any technique you like, or try this: draw half your face as you see it and fill the other half with items that represent your hobbies like this example.
  • Ready to sing a song for others? Put on a show? First, you'll want to warm up your mouth and vocal cords with these tongue twisters. You can even write your own for a personalized warm up.
  • Start a daily journal. It could be a journal about anything--school, dreams, how you feel, lists of your favorite things. You could even start an art journal and draw something new every day! Try creating a recycled journal and explore other ideas for journaling.
