You can use rhymes and songs you already know, or learn some new ones. Here are some books that have classic songs and new songs, with great illustrations sure to liven up your day and your baby's.

Putting your baby to sleep is a number one activity for most of baby's first year. Try a classic lullaby like Hush, Little Baby or Rock-a-bye Baby. Both of these books have vibrant illustrations you can share with baby before it's time for a rest.

The Croaky Pokey! "You put your right arm in" always sounds like the beginning of a song about getting dressed! I loved singing this to my baby while changing her clothes. Read this hilarious version of the classic song for a dance party with some very fun frogs.

Living in a city, you'll often find Babies on the Bus. This version of "The Wheels on the Bus" features a whole cast of babies you can sing about on and off the bus. It's written and illustrated by Karen Katz, whose books about babies introduce lots of different content from seasons to holidays to rhymes and songs.

Old Mikamba Had A Farm: When can you sing about animals? Any time! This is a fun one when you're outside or taking care of any of your pets. Old Mikamba is the African version of Old McDonald and he's taking care of some interesting animals at the game park.

Sugar Pie Lullaby: Cooking with baby? Sing about your sugar pie! All the moments in this family's day are inspired by Motown lyrics. Getting dressed is never as fun without Stevie Wonder! If you're not a Motown mama, use this as inspiration to sing all the songs you do know and love throughout the day with your baby.
