Mellow Electronica to Help You Focus

One of the most important things needed to focus - whether reading, studying or working - is the right ambiance to help you wake up without jarring your vibe. A substantial part of this has to do with sound. Here are what I consider great "white noise" albums to sync up with.

Dive This album encourages wakefulness and relaxation with soft bass lines and upper register rhythms that play like sunshine on water.

Immunity Perfect for deep thinking, this house-y album delivers sharp and edgy glitch timbres with just enough melody to massage your brain.

Kid A is a classic album in its own right and one I've listened to numerous times. The melancholy calm within these sounds is surprisingly uplifting.

Syro Whether you're working on something intellectual, physical or both, this funky electric acoustic ride has enough depth to reach all the right nerve endings under your skull.

Tomorrow's Harvest touches the emotions by tinging its tracks with a dark cheerfulness, like a reminder that it's OK to be free as a bird if one can keep in mind that gravity always waits.

Do you like ambient electronica? If so, who are your favorite musicians that fit the bill?
