Citizenship Resources for Aspiring Americans

Becoming an American citizen is an exciting milestone. Every year hundreds of thousands of people are welcomed as naturalized citizens of the United States, and even more begin the process to become a citizen. Here at CPL, we support this life goal with a host of resources to help you pursue your dream of American citizenship.

Get started on the path to citizenship by attending one of our Cities for Citizenship workshops. CPL and community organizations across the city partner to provide aspiring citizens with the information and expert help you need to begin the naturalization process.

Check out Becoming a Citizen for a list of CPL locations that offer a wide selection of materials on immigration and U.S. citizenship and a list of helpful websites.

Borrow a copy of the Civics and Citizenship Toolkit, a collection of resources developed to help you navigate the naturalization process and prepare you for the USCIS naturalization interview and test. Inside, you'll find a copy of the U.S. Bill of Rights and Constitution, along with flash cards, fact books and a DVD.

When you're ready to put your skills to the test, head over to Brainfuse: Job Seekers and Adult Learners and try out a practice exam, or get live help from an online tutor.
