The People Associated with the Library System (PALS) operated as a friends’ group of the Lincoln Park Branch of Chicago Public Library from 1976 to 1983. The collection documents the organization’s work to beautify the library, fundraise, conduct programming and document the history of the Lincoln Park neighborhood. It includes correspondence, meeting minutes, membership lists, oral history transcripts, project and programming planning materials, 35 photographs of Lincoln Park, local history reference materials, one oral history audio cassette and a film segment about PALS featured on ABC News.
