Arkansas-born and Chicago-based Marion Perkins was an acclaimed sculptor; his works are held at the Art Institute of Chicago and DuSable Museum. From the late 1930s until his death in 1961, Perkins was a radical activist whose art reflected his perspectives.  The papers include Marion Perkins’ writings, photographs and articles about his work.
