Celebrate Disability Awareness Month with CPL in July

Celebrate individuals with diverse abilities during Disability Awareness Month in July at CPL. This month marks the 30th anniversary the Americans with Disabilities Act, the landmark civil rights legislation that increases access and opportunity for people with disabilities.

Join our online event Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the 21st Century on Tuesday, July 14, sponsored in partnership with ADA 25 Advancing Leadership. Hear a conversation with activist Alice Wong, editor of Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories From The Twenty-First Century, and Sky Cubacub, contributor to Disability Visibility, moderated by ADA 25 Advancing Leadership program fellow Derrick Dawson. Disability Visibility brings together an urgent, galvanizing collection of personal essays by contemporary disabled writers.
