My New BFFs: Funny Ladies in the Library

It’s an almost universal truth that making new friends as an adult can be difficult. High school and college make quick bonding feel easy, but adult life seems to get in the way of making deeper connections. I’m not ashamed to say that some of my best new girlfriends have been found at the library.

OK, so these ladies don’t know that we are best friends, but I’m just so certain that when we finally meet in person, my girl-crushes will recognize our commonalities and embrace me with open arms. From awkward adolescent moments to adult dating disasters, these funny memoirs by Mindy, Caitlin, Sloane and Julie (Yes, we are on a first-name basis.) can feel just like having a conversation with your smart and sassy BFF. I prefer to have these “conversations” curled up in a comfy chair with a favorite beverage and a side of cheese.
